**Jharsuguda:** With the inauguration of the second airport of the State just around the corner, a Boeing-737 flight of Indian Air Force (IAF) made its first trial landing on the runway of Jharsuguda airport on Tuesday thus gearing up the aerodrome for a grand opening.
Reportedly, the flight took off from the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in New Delhi and reached here at 1 pm.
Two pilots and a technical officer reached Jharsuguda in the Boeing aircraft to review the airport’s infrastructure, reports added. After half-an-hour of survey, the officials returned on the same flight.
Notably on August 31, Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Jual Oram had announced that the airport will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 22.
