**Bhubaneswar:** The Indian Ambassador to Brazil Ashok Kumar Das met Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik here today and discussed over various matters including sharing sports expertise.
After meeting Patnaik, Das said, “Brazil which is strong in football is presently playing the FIFA World Cup and Odisha that is strong in hockey is going to organise the Hockey Men’s World Cup in Bhubaneswar. The sharing of the sports expertise between Brazil and Odisha was discussed upon.”
Areas relating to scope of investments in Odisha and development of tourism were mulled over in the meeting, said Das adding, “We also contemplated if a package can be designed for the tourists from Brazil to visit spiritual places or temples in Odisha.”
Earlier on Wednesday, Das had a high level meeting with Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi where they explored possibilities of ‘sister-state relationship’ between Odisha and Brazil. Deliberations in the meeting revealed that there could be a lot of cultural, economic, technological and intellectual inter-exchanges between Odisha and Brazil.
