Odisha: BSF Jawan Flees From Nabarangpur’s TMC After Being Denied Leave

Nabarangpur: A BSF jawan, who had tested positive for novel coronavirus, allegedly fled from a Temporary Medical Camp (TMC) in Nabarangpur district. A complaint has been lodged regarding the same.

According to reports, the jawan tested positive for COVID-19 on June 24 and was shifted to a COVID hospital. He recovered from the disease on June 30. For the sake of observation, he was transferred to the TMC at Government Polytechnic College.

However, he was not willing to continue to stay in the TMC and wanted leaves so that he could go to his house. After being denied permission in wake of COVID-19 pandemic, he fled on July 10

A police complaint has been filed at Nabarangpur town police station by the BSF. A search operation is on for the jawan who hails from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh.
