Odisha Cabinet Approves 9 Proposals

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved nine proposals.

According to sources, the Cabinet approved proposals of Panchayati Raj, Urban Development, Works and other departments.

One of the major proposals approved by the Cabinet was to convert SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack into a world-class institute. The Cabinet approved the tender for construction of the same in favour of L&T.

The Cabinet also approved a proposal to hand over panchayat ponds to Self Help Groups, said sources.

Since the winter session of the Odisha Assembly is underway, there was no briefing to the press on the decisions taken at the Cabinet meeting.
