Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet today approved the tender for construction of In-Stream Storage Structure across river Brahmani near village Khalpal in Talcher block of Angul district on EPC-Turnkey’ basis including operation and maintenance of complete commissioned project for five years.
The tender for the In-Stream Storage Structure includes execution amount of Rs 219,50,00,000 (without GST) and Operation & Maintenance cost for five years amounting to Rs 1,50,00,000 (without GST). The work is planned to be completed in 33 months.
This storage structure will enhance the water availability and will fulfil the drinking and domestic requirement of the people of 22 villages of Parajang blocks, Parajang town & Sarang in Dhenkanal district and 23 villages of Talcher block, Dera Colliery Township (CT), TTPS Township (CT), FCI Township (CT) and Talcher Town in Angul district.
Besides, the project will promote fishery development, and livestock farming and will maintain the ecological balance of the region and replenish the groundwater level with improvement of socio-economic condition of the locality.
