Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha on Friday decided to construct a number of bridges, including a second bridge over River Bramhani at Patrapuron Cuttack–Chandabali Road over river Brahmani parallel to the existing bridge. It will ease the traffic congestion on State Highway 9A that connects Kendrapara to Bhadrak.
As this bridge project gives direct connectivity to Dangamala and Bhitarakanika National Park, it will also accommodate growing traffic for tourist destination. The state Cabinet has approved the final negotiated offer of lowest turnkey bidder M/s Ram Kumar Contractor Pvt Ltd amounting to Rs 228,99,00,000 only excluding GST for execution of the above work. The work is targeted for completion within a period of 36 calendar months.
Similarly, the government decided to construct a bridge to connect Kendrapada and Chandvari near the old bridge over the Baitarni river on the Bhadrak-Chandbali road.
This bridge will ease the traffic on State Highway-9 connecting Kendrapada with Bhadrak. This will provide a lot of convenience to tourists.
This road will directly connect Dangmal and the Bhatrakanika National Park. The state cabinet has approved a tender for the project worth Rs. 261 crore. The work is scheduled to be completed within 36 months.
