Bhubaneswar: Odisha Cabinet today approved the construction of a new medical college and hospital at Jajpur.
The project will be executed on a turnkey basis to improve medical education in the state.
The Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik approved the lowest bid of Larsen & Toubro Ltd for the execution of the work.
Speaking to media persons Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari and Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy said the proposed medical college and hospital will have 100 MBBS seats and 500 bedded hospital.
This project will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 426.51 crore.
