Bhubaneswar: In a move aimed at increasing farmers’ income, the Odisha Cabinet on Wednesday approved the implementation of the “Samrudha Krushak Yojana” across the state.
According to an official press release, farmers registered to sell paddy through the Department of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare’s existing system will receive Rs 3,100 per quintal. This amount includes input assistance provided under the Samrudha Krushak Yojana, along with the prevailing minimum support price (MSP).
Additionally, paddy seed growers registered with the Odisha State Seed and Organic Products Certification Agency (OSSOPCA), who sell seeds through the Odisha State Seeds Corporation (OSSC) Ltd., will also be eligible to receive input assistance under the scheme.
