Bhubaneswar: The State Cabinet today approved a memorandum containing proposals to be submitted to the 16th Finance Commission.
The 16th Finance Commission will visit the State between February 4 and 7, 2025. During the visit, a memorandum will be submitted to the Commission.
The State government has decided to seek a whopping Rs 12,56,148 crore from the 16th Finance Commission to fund various public welfare schemes and scale up public infrastructure, CM Mohan Charan Majhi said.
The massive allocation will be utilized over the next five years, from 2026 to 2031, he added.
