Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to meet at the Lokseva Bhawan here on February 13.
According to sources, the Cabinet will approve the draft Budget proposal for the 2023-24 financial year during its meeting.
In addition, about 15 proposals related to the Health, Energy, Rural Development, Agriculture, Public Works, Urban Development, Water Resources, and Commerce and Transport departments are likely to get Cabinet approval today, sources added.
The Budget Session of the Odisha Assembly is scheduled to commence on February 21. Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari will table the annual Budget for 2023-24 fiscal on February 24.
The House will discuss the Budget proposals on February 27, 28 and March 1. The Appropriation Bill on the Budget will be tabled in the Assembly on March 4.
This will be the last full-fledged Budget by the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) government in Odisha in its fifth term.
