Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet approved certain modifications to the Subhadra guidelines in its meeting today.
The Cabinet accepted deviations from the exclusion criteria listed in the scheme guidelines, specifically with respect to applicants present in the National Food Security Act (NFSA) /State Food Security Scheme (SFSS) database. The decision was made considering the justification provided and the resultant list of eligible beneficiaries submitted by the Odisha State Child Protection Society (OCAC).
Additionally, the Cabinet approved the inclusion of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) as a mode of providing financial assistance under Subhadra. Furthermore, it was decided that ATM-cum-debit cards will not be issued to Subhadra beneficiaries.
To facilitate verification, the portal will be delinked from the Aadhaar e-KYC module for the period from September 8 to September 13, 2024. During this time, electronic Know-Your-Customer (e-KYC) verification will be conducted through alternative databases, such as NFSA and PM KISAN.
The Cabinet also modified Subhadra guidelines to include two non-official Civil Society representatives in the Block/Urban Local Body (ULB) Level Scrutiny Committee (BLSC/ULSC).
These representatives will be nominated by the concerned chairpersons of the Block/ULB level scrutiny committee.
