Bhubaneswar: Odisha cadre IAS officer Rajesh Verma was today appointed as Secretary to President of India Draupadi Murmu.
Verma, the 1987 batch IAS officer was serving as the Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
His appointment was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, said a letter issued by the Secretariat of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel & Training.
He has also served as the Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and was Principal Secretary of the Energy Department in the State government.
