Bhubaneswar: The results of the Civil Services Examinations 2023 were released by the UPSC today, which is available on the official website- upsc.gov.in. Animesh Pradhan from Angul district of Odisha stood out as the second top performer in the country, securing AIR 2.
Born to Aruna Patra and Prabhakar Pradhan of Talcher in Angul district, Animesh started his schooling at Kalinga DAV School in Talcher where he studied till 12th. Later, he graduated in engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela.
His father Prabhakar Pradhan, who passed away in 2017, was a principal in Hingula College, Talcher while his mother was an employee in MCL. His mother had also passed away in January this year.
Several others from Odisha also cleared the India’s most prestigious exam.
Among others from Odisha, Pragyananda Giri is ranked 24th while Ayushi Pradhan secured 36th rank. Similarly, Jayshree Pradhan (52), Abhimanyu Mallik (60), Amritansu Nayak (110), Yashwant Mallik (115), Kruti Tripathi (149), Padmanav Mishra (176), Subhra Panda (204) and Kumud Mishra (259) have cleared the coveted test.
Similarly, Odisha’s Taniya Mishra bagged 269 rank, Ananya Rana got 280 rank, Tanisha Mishra is placed at 303 rank, Biswajit Panda secured 343 rank while Priyanka Priyadharshini earned 387 rank, Satya Kumar Patra is placed at 409, Saurabh Das got 466 rank. Rakesh Kumar Sahu (575) and Nayan Ranjan Das (581) also cleared the exam.
Siddharth Beshra of Kalahandi is placed at 800 position.
This year, a total of 1016 names have been recommended for appointment to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service, and Central Services Group A and Group B.
