Odisha: CBI Arrests Mines Manager On Graft Charges In Brajarajnagar

Jharsuguda: The Manager of a coal mine in Orient Area of Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL), at Brajrajnagar was nabbed by the CBI today while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from an employee.

Surendra Kumar, the manager of Mine No. 1 and 2 under Orient Area had demanded money from the employee, a labourer Sirauddin, to facilitate his transfer to another project.

Sirauddin reported the matter to CBI following which a 15-member team from Bhubaneswar and Rourkela set a trap and caught Kumar red-handed while accepting the said amount.
