**Bhubaneswar:** Team Odisha has brought laurels for the State by winning 14 gold, four silver and two bronze medals at ‘Hausla 2018’ – the National Festival for Children of Child Care Institutions – held in New Delhi from November 26 to 29, 2018.
In total 37 children living in the Child Care Institutions (CCIs) under Department of Women & Child Development and Mission Shakti of the State Government had participated in the event.
Odisha bagged gold in both Under-14 and Under-16 Boys and Girls 100 meters race and Under-14 Girls 200 meters race.
Likewise, in Under-16 Boys 200 meters race it bagged silver and in Under-16 Girls 200 meters race it bagged bronze.
Further, in Under-18 Boys 200 meters race it bagged bronze and in Under-18 Girls 200 meters race it bagged silver.
Similarly, the State bagged gold in both Under-16 Boys and Girls 100 x 4 meter relay race and in both Under-14 Boys and Girls long jump event. It secured silver in Under-16 Boys high jump event and bronze in Under-16 Girls category.
While the participants from Odisha evolved as champions in the football and chess events, they also bagged gold and silver medals in painting competition.
The Team Odisha will be landing at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here on December 1.
