Bhubaneswar: A cold wave has gripped Odisha, with Phulbani recording the lowest night temperature at 5°C, followed by Rourkela at 5.1°C, Jharsuguda at 5.4°C. The chilly weather conditions are expected to persist, with minimum temperatures likely to fall further by 2-4°C over the next three days due to cold and dry air, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Going by the IMD data, other places in Odisha also recorded low temperatures last night, including Jharsuguda at 5.4°C, Daringbadi 7°C , Keonjhar at 7.6°C, Sundargarh and Bhawanipatna 7.8°C ,Angul at 8°C, Balangir and Koraput at 8.5°C , Dhenkanal and Baripada at 8.6°C, Balasore at 9.8°C, Sambalpur at 9.9°C and Hirakud at 10.9°C, Paradip at 11.5°C, Puri at 14.4°C, and Gopalpur at 13.8°C.
Residents are advised to take necessary precautions to stay warm and safe.
