Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha has requested Collectors for vacating/barricading/sanitization of its ‘Valuation Zones’ latest by May 30 to facilitate evaluation of answer scripts of annual Higher Secondary Examination from June 1.
The CHSE Chairman has stated in the letter that as per decision taken by the School and Mass Education Department it has been planned to commence valuation of answer scripts of the annual Higher Secondary Examination, 2020 conducted by it from June 1.
The letter points out that most of the Valuation Zones of the CHSE have been taken over by the district administration and have been used as quarantine centres/transit centres/temporary shelters/COVID Care Centres/Temporary Medical Centres (TMCs) in view of the situation arising out of COVID-19.
The CHSE Chairman has requested for three steps to be taken for the safety and security of the evaluators and the zone personnel as well as for completion of valuation and publication of results of annual Higher Secondary Examination, 2020, which have already been abnormally delayed.
1. The Valuation zones under your jurisdiction may please be vacated and shifted to
the nearby Primary Schools, M.E Schools, High Schools (not being used as a Valuation Centre), Residential Schools and other suitable places, if possible. If it is not possible to vacate the valuation zones, necessary steps may please be taken for barricading of the quarantine centre separating the Valuation Zones for safety and security of the evaluators and zone personnel and elimination of fear psychosis in the minds of the evaluators.
2. Necessary directions may please be given to the concerned municipalities, NACs/CDMOs for (i) providing thermal scanner for scanning of the evaluators and sanitizer for the evaluators and zone personnel (ii) everyday sanitisation of the valuation zones and taking other COVID-19 guidelines of the Government.
3. Vacating of the Valuation Zones/barricading/sanitization by May 30 for the commencement of valuation works with effect from June 1.
