Bhubaneswar: Odisha Civil Services (OCS) aspirants can now write their examination papers in Odia also. The General Administration Department has issued a guideline to Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) in this regard.
The preliminary, main, and viva-voce of the State Civil Services Examination will now be conducted in both English and Odia. With this, The Odisha Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination on October 16, 2022, is to be held in both English and Odia.
Reportedly, the government took the decision after being proposed by the Institute of Odia Studies and Research (OSRC). A plea in this regard has been also filed in the Orissa High Court in 2011. The court had ordered to conduct the examination in Odia.
