Bhubaneswar: Bracing numerous challenges, four exceptional students of Mo Schools in Odisha rose above their circumstances to secure A1 grades in the announced matriculation exam results on Sunday. These students showcased their resilience, determination, and academic excellence to conquer all obstacles that came in their way. Chandrasekhar Behera
Chandrasekhar Behera, a student of Government High School, Medical Campus in Berhampur district of Odisha’s Ganjam district, secured A1 in Class X Board exams proving to be an example of hard work and dedication. Having secured 547 out of 600 marks, Chandrasekhar has expressed his gratefulness to his parents and elder sister.
Chandrasekhar’s mother Renu Behera is a homemaker and his father Maheswar Behera is a daily wage labourer and the sole breadwinner of the family. Despite the financial difficulties, Chandrasekhar has been dedicatedly focused on his education. His sister, Upasana Behera has been his biggest supporter and helped him with his education. Despite the financial difficulties of the family, Chandrasekhar’s hard work, dedication, and determination have brought him laurels in the Board exams.
Alongside his parents, sister, and teachers, Chandrasekhar expressed his gratefulness to the Smart classroom and e-library of the school for helping him in his studies.
Asutosh Sahoo
Asutosh Sahoo, a student of Ravenshaw Collegiate School in Cuttack, is a bright example of indomitable willpower, determination, and self-confidence. Having secured A1 in the Class X Board exams conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, Asutosh has proved how hard work is the key to every success.
Asutosh, the son of Ashok Kumar Sahoo, a taxi driver, and Sukanti Sahoo, a homemaker, faced numerous difficulties in pursuing his education in his primary days. However, despite financial difficulties, Asutosh’s willpower and determination to study and build a successful future motivated him to work hard and make improvements in his educational journey. From securing the highest marks in Ravenshaw Collegiate School’s entrance test to winning several accolades in various co-curricular activities, Asutosh has set an example in every sphere.
According to Asutosh, along with the teachers’ support and cooperation, the school transformation has played a vital role in his journey. Smart classrooms have provided him with audio-visual learning making the learning experience better and more innovative. Similarly, the modern science laboratory in the school has facilitated him with practical learning, making science fun and interesting.
Moreover, Ashutosh dreams of being the first doctor in his family. Talking about his success in the exams, he expressed his gratitude to his school, his teachers, and his parents.
Rupa Sa
In the rural region of Jharsuguda’s Belpahar region, Rupa Sa, the daughter of Om Prakash Sa and Puranda Sa, has achieved remarkable success in her matriculation exams, securing 540 marks, and 90% (A1 grade). Her journey to this achievement has been marked by resilience and hard work, creating a jubilant atmosphere in her community.
Rupa Sa, known for her academic excellence and dedication, has now reaped the rewards of her consistent efforts. Despite her family’s modest income—her father sells fruits and her mother is a homemaker — she has thrived with their steadfast support and the encouragement from her school.
Rupa’s daily routine included studying diligently from 10 am to 12 midnight, with unwavering support from her teachers at Giridhari Higher Secondary School. After school, she often immersed herself in the e-library, absorbing vast knowledge that bridged gaps in her understanding.
With access to top-notch facilities such as a science laboratory and smart classrooms, Rupa maximised every opportunity her school offered her to excel. Her ambition to pursue dual majors in science reflects her dedication to becoming a doctor, driven by a desire to serve her community wholeheartedly.

Gayatri Patra
Patience and determination bring success naturally. This has been proven by Gayatri Patra from Kundeswar village on the outskirts of Kakatpur. She has recently brought pride to her community by excelling in the Class X board exams, securing an impressive 92% with an A1 grade. Despite numerous obstacles, her success story serves as an inspiration for all.
Gayatri achieved a total score of 555. The daughter of Ratnakar Patra and Shubhadra Patra, Gayatri has faced financial difficulties since childhood. Her father Ratnakar, is differently-abled and supports the family by running a small bangle shop in Kakatpur. Due to their strained financial situation, Gayatri couldn’t afford private coaching. However, her hard work and brilliance shone through. She dedicated over 10 hours daily to her studies, often seeking assistance from her school teachers. The variety of books available in the school library also played a significant role in her success.
Gayatri aspires to become a doctor and serve the community. She is eager to pursue science in her higher secondary education. She credits her success to her parents and teachers, who have been her constant support system.
