Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday announced a 4% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (TI) for all government employees and pensioners.

The announcement of 4% additional Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (TI) in favour of state government employees and pensioners respectively will now enhance the rate from 42% to 46%.

The enhanced DA and TI will be paid from July 1, 2023, retrospectively.

This will benefit 4.5 lakh state government employees and 3.5 lakh pensioners.

Incidentally, the state government’s announcement comes two days after the Union Cabinet approved a 4% hike in DA for Central government employees and pensioners effective from July 2023.
