Bhubaneswar: Honouring the selfless spirit and dedication of doctors, hospital staff and para-medical personnel of Odisha Government, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced disbursal of four months advance salary for them.
Doctors, para-medics and all those engaged in healthcare services of the State Government will be getting the salaries for April, May, June and July, at a time in the month of April, Naveen announced.
Addressing the peolple of the State, in a video message, Naveen said Coronavirus is a global pandemic which has placed humankind across the globe in a state of danger. And the doctors, nurses and para-medic staff together build the first line of defence against Coronavirus.
“Your efforts and sacrifice remains unmatched. All of you are facing tough situations today but relentlessly serving people. I myself and all my brothers and sisters of Odisha are with you and your families. You keep working in the dedicated manner.”
“I request the people of our state to treat doctors, para-medics and healthcare professionals with love and respect. Do not create any impediments in their line of work. They have sacrifised all comforts. They are working under tough circumstances, day in and day out,” the Odisha CM said in a video message.
“We need to encourage and appreciate them. Those who will create problems in the work of doctors and other healthcare professionals, I instruct the police to act tough on them,” Naveen added.
“The country is with you all. We all are with you. Please carry on the noble service that you all are doing,” said Naveen with folded hands.
