Odisha CM Announces 7th Pay Commission For State Employees & Pensioners

**Bhubaneswar: ** Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday evening announced implementation of the much-awaited 7th Pay Commission recommendation for the State Government employees and the pensioners.

Briefing media, the CM said, “My Government has decided to implement the recommendation of the committee for the examination of 7th Central Pay Commission Report and its adoption for the State Government employees.”

“About 4.5 lakh serving State Government employees and 3.5 lakh retired State Government employees will get enhanced emoluments and higher pension respectively,” he informed.

The Odisha Chief Minister also informed, “Annual additional expenditure on this count would be about Rs 4500 crores. Government employees will get the pay hike from September monthly salary onwards.”

As per a press note issued by the CMO, “Hon’ble Chief Minister has instructed to implement the 7th Pay Commission recommendation from 1st January 2016.”
