Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today announced a cash reward for the Indian Men’s Hockey team and supporting staff for winning the Bronze Medal in Paris Olympics 2024.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi congratulated the team while announcing the cash reward.
As per his announcement, all players will get Rs 15 lakh each while Odia player Amit Rohidas will specially receive Rs 4 core. Similarly, the government will give Rs 10 lakh to all supporting staff.
“I announce Rs 15 lakh cash reward for each player and Rs 10 lakh for each supporting staff. I also announced Rs 4 crore special cash reward for Odia player Amit Rohidas,” Majhi announced.

Today’s victory will inspire countless sports talents and sports lovers in the State, he said while congratulating Harmanpreet Singh and the entire team for winning the medal.
After the team beat Spain 2-1 to bag the Bronze medal, the Chief Minister talked to all the players over the phone. On the occasion, Majhi also invited the team to visit Odisha soon.
