**Bhubaneswar:** The BJD party supremo and Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik has constituted a four-member steering committee to put pressure on the Centre and the neighbouring States Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh on Mahanadi and Polavaram issues.
BJD State Secretary Bijay Nayak informed that the four senior leaders who have been nominated to the Mahanadi-Polavaram steering committee are Rajya Sabha MP Prasanna Acharya and Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, former Union Minister Chandra Sekhar Sahu and former State Minister Debi Prasad Mishra.
In a similar move, Odisha Commerce & Transport Minister Nrusingha Charan Sahu was made BJD’s observer for Puri district and Rajya Sabha member Achyuta Samanta has been appointed as the party’s co-observer for tribal dominated Kandhamal and Mayurbhanj districts.
