Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today chaired a state-level meeting through video conferencing and directed the state administration to be prepared for all possible disasters.
In accordance with the ‘every life is precious’ principle, a disaster prone state like Odisha has strengtened its disaster management system and has become a leading state in this sector, he added.
The Chief Minister said that the period from June to October of each year is very important. Many natural disasters, such as floods, storms, and droughts, occur during this time. He emphasised on strengthening the preparations in this regard.
He advised to keep all administrative machinery ready and all emergency response systems, rescue and relief work, drinking water systems, health and animal care systems must be prepared and maintained. He also advised that all ODRAF and Fire Services team should be prepared.
