Bhubaneswar: Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi has asked the district administration of Bhadrak to provide immediate health assistance to Babuli Barik on Sunday.
CM Majhi, after receiving information about the poor boy’s ailing health from various social media platforms has taken immediate cognizance of the matter and has directed to provide the family with immediate financial assistance of Rs 30,000 from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
The 14-year-old boy Babuli from Madhapur village of Chandbali in Bhadrak district is suffering from a rare kind of disease called Traumatic Neuro Motor Disorder.
His parents, Chintamani and Jharana Barik, being financially weak are unable to bear the expenses for his treatment.
According to the direction of the Chief Minister, a team of doctors was sent to his home in Madhapur village to look over the boy. After a check-up, the child has been referred to SCB Medical in Cuttack for further treatment.
The Bhadrak district administration is in touch with the family to provide any further assistance required.
