Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on the occasion of State level celebration of 76th Independence Day at the IDCO Exhibition Ground in Unit 3 here today flagged off ‘Ahimsa Rath’, a mobile video rath campaign.
On the occasion of the completion of 75 years of India’s independence, the Ahimsa Rath will tour all districts of the State and apart from carrying Mahatma’s message will provide information on the great contribution of several freedom fighters.
Four Ahimsa Raths with LED video walls started off from the venue of the state-level Independence Day celebrations. These Raths will tour the entire State. After arriving at each district headquarter these Raths will visit different blocks. A variety of cultural programmes will be organised at the district and block levels involving various groups, local people’s representatives and the general public.
The Ahimsa Raths which started off today under the aegis of the Information & Public Relations Department will tour the State till October 2.
