Odisha CM Hikes Health Insurance Of Journalists From Rs 2 Lakh To Rs 5 Lakh

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced that the amount of insurance will be increased from Rs.2 lakh to Rs.5 lakh in Gopbandhu health insurance scheme implemented for working journalists. This will benefit 8717 working journalists and their families of the state.

It is worth noting that under Gopbandhu Health Insurance Scheme, the working journalist and his/her family were getting medical benefits up to Rs 2 lakh. Now it has been increased to Rs 5 lakh, “so that the journalist and his family can get better medical services”, the CMO stated.
