Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday inaugurated a state-of-the-art education complex at Badpada in the Swabhiman Anchal of Malkangiri district through video conferencing.
Children from Class I (primary) to higher secondary (12th Class) can study in this education complex in one place. An amount of Rs 19 crore has been spent on this state-of-the-art education complex which has been built on a 7-acre patch of land.
More than 1,000 children will study here. It has all the modern facilities to prepare the child for the future. Smart classroom, e-library with 3000 books, tribal corner, activity room for tiny tots, NCC, Room, Computer Lab, ICT Smart Learning Centre, Science Laboratory, 200 seated boys hostel, 500 seated girls hostel, Amphitheater, Landscaped Garden, Sports Courts, Open Gym, Solar Lighting, Solar Water Supply, Water Harvesting System and many more facilities.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Malkangiri has always been his first choice for launching of Re One a kg of rice, Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana or LAccMI Yojana. “I have launched all the programs from here,” he added.
Expressing his joy for Badpada’s state-of-the-art education complex, the Chief Minister said that this facility has been built to fulfil the educational needs and personality development of children.
He said that all these facilities are no less than the facilities of any modern educational institution in the city. He hoped and believed that the children of Swabhiman Anchal would take advantage of this and build a better future for themselves.
He advised the children that if they work hard with discipline, commitment and determination, the path to success expands. He asked them to make use of all the facilities in this educational institution and work to develop their talent and bring fame to their family, their school and their village.
Congratulating the children, the Chief Minister said that the high school transformation program under 5T initiative has created confidence in the minds of the children to develop. He expressed his happiness, stating that SC and ST children are performing very well in all fields, from studies to sports.
Speaking at the program 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman Kartik Pandian said that a skill development centre will be established in Swabhiman Anchal in the coming days. Through this, the youth of Swabhiman Anchal will get more and more employment opportunities. He further said that the launch of the LAccMI Yojana has been done from Malkangiri itself.
In the program, Malkangiri Zilla Parishad President Samari Tangulu praised the vision of the Chief Minister and the direct efforts of the 5T chairman for this education facility.
Malkangari Collector gave a welcome speech at the program.
