**Bhubaneswar**: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday launched Biju Sishu Surakhya Yojana, Odisha Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Action Plan (ONAP) and new software for the State Government’s flagship programme Mamata Yojana in a grand event here at Jayadev Bhavan.
The CM also announced a cash incentive of Rs 1000 and Rs 500 for every Anganwadi worker and ASHA worker in the state respectively.
“Mamta Programme is a success story which benefits 25 lakh pregnant and nursing women of our state. It is the largest direct benefit transfer scheme for the nursing and pregnant women in the country. So far, nearly 11 hundred crores has been transferred to the beneficiaries through e-transfer. I congratulate Anganwadi workers and ASHA workers for their cooperation in making it a great success. I also announce a special incentive of 1000 and 500 for them. Besides this we have also launched Odisha Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Action Plan (ONAP) and Biju Sishu Surakhya Yojana,” said Patnaik.
ONAP is a comprehensive plan throuh which the state government is aiming at significant reduction of malnutrition in the State. The Government has also signed an MoU with Azim Premji Philanthropy Initiative in this regard.
