Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched the official website of Odisha Film Development Corporation (OFDC).
“Filmmakers from any corner of the world can access OFDC through this website,” said Satyabrata Tripathy (Popular as Kuna Tripathy), Chairman of OFDC after the launching of the website at the Kharvel Bhawan here today.
Tripathy said that with the launching of the website today OFDC and its work will gain prominence.
The popular actor stated that Odia cinema industry which took off in 1936, just four years after Bollywood took off in 1932, will be stepping into its 83rd year of existence.
Tripathy lauded the robust film policy of the Odisha government and hoped that the Odia cinema industry will attain new heights in the coming days.
Tripathy pointed out that the Odisha government’s film policy was highly appreciated by national and international filmmakers at the Goa Film Bazaar.
He claimed that the filmmakers there dubbed the State government’s film policy as the ‘best film policy’ in India.
Tripathy said that Odisha will soon become the most preferred film shooting destination in the country.
