Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and his deputy Pravati Parida on Friday congratulated India’s ‘Golden Boy’ for winning the first silver medal for the county in the Paris Olympics 2024 in the men’s javelin throw event.
Taking to his X Handle (formerly Twitter), Majhi wrote, “Many congratulations and best wishes to the pride of India, Neeraj Chopra, who brought glory to the country by winning the first silver medal in men’s javelin at the Paris Olympics.”
This achievement must inspire the youth of the country, the Chief Minister added.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida wrote on her X handle, “Congratulations to @Neeraj_chopra1 for securing India’s first silver medal at the #Paris2024Olympics in the Men’s #JavelinThrow event.” She further wrote, “The reigning Olympic champion has once again showcased his exceptional talent on the international stage.”
