Bhubaneswar: “When investors consider doing business in India, Odisha will be their top choice”, said Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi before leaving for Singapore ahead of the ‘Utkarsh Odisha: Make-in-Odisha Conclave 2025’ scheduled to be held in January next year.
This bold assertion comes as the CM leads a high-level delegation to Singapore, aiming to attract foreign investments and showcase Odisha’s potential.
Talking to the mediapersons, the Chief Minister highlighted Singapore’s expertise in various sectors, including chemicals, logistics, financial services, food processing, petrochemicals, green energy, shipbuilding, and semiconductors. He noted that several big companies have established units in Singapore, and Odisha aims to replicate this success. By promoting Odisha’s natural resources, skilled workforce, and progressive industrial policies, the state hopes to become the go-to destination for investors.
“Senior Odisha government officials are set to explore potential collaborations with top industry leaders, investors, and policymakers in Singapore. This outreach program aims to yield results for setting up new industries and creating job employment opportunities in Odisha”, stated CM.
