Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday participated in the Tiranga Yatra in the state capital Bhubaneswar. He was accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, Ekamra MLA Babu Singh, and former BJP state president Samir Mohanty.
Majhi launched the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan in the presence of Parida, Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari and Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan on August 12. Today, the Yatra commenced from the Lingraj Temple.
“The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modiji requested everyone to join the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to awaken and revive our patriotic feelings for the country. This campaign aims to make every citizen realise the importance of the national flag,” Majhi said, adding, “I request all people of Odisha to join this campaign. Everyone should hoist the national flag at home and upload their selfies”.
The ‘Tiranga Yatra’ is part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan,’ an initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to instil a sense of nationalism among the citizens by encouraging them to display the national flag at their homes.
