**New Delhi: ** Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday evening called on former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at his Krishna Menon Marg residence in New Delhi.
Talking to media after the meeting, Naveen said, “It was a courtesy visit to enquire about his health.”
The BJD supremo even reminded media persons that he had been a minister in Vajpayee’s cabinet then.
On being queried by media persons about any political motive behind the sudden meet, Naveen denied it categorically saying, “There is no political reason behind the meeting. Just a courtesy call. The people of Odisha remember him very fondly.”
Notably, Naveen Patnaik is on his five-day official tour at the national capital.
