Bhubaneswar: In a gesture of solidarity and support, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi announced a comprehensive package for the family of Prashant Satpathy, the young Odia man who tragically lost his life in the Pahalgam terror attack.
The package includes a financial assistance of Rs 20 lakh to Prashant’s family. Additionally, his wife will be offered a government job, and the government will bear the education expenses of their son. Other benefits and facilities will also be extended to the family.
During his visit to Prashant’s village to pay his last respects, CM Majhi expressed his outrage over the brutal attack and assured the family of all possible government support. The CM was visibly moved during the visit and reiterated his commitment to supporting Prashant’s family.
It is pertinent to mention that Prashant, her wife Priyadarshini and their nine-year-old son, who are from Balasore, were alighting from a ropeway in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir when unidentified terrorists opened fire, leaving death and destruction in their wake. In the chaos that ensued, Prashant sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
