Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday paid glowing tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversaries.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) handle, the Chief Minister wrote, “Humble tributes to Mahatma Gandhi, the ‘Father of the Nation’ and greatest proponent of peace and non-violence on Gandhi Jayanti. His ideals of non-violence, peace, tolerance, and unwavering dedication to the cause of India’s freedom struggle will continue to inspire generations to come.”
Paying tribute to Shastri, Patnaik wrote, “Humble tributes to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary. Shastri Ji was a great freedom fighter and statesman who captured the true spirit of India in his slogan “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan,” which continues to be an inspiration for all of us.”
