Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday felicitated ace para shuttler Pramod Bhagat who recently bagged two gold medals in the BWF Para Badminton World Championships in Basel, Switzerland.
While appreciating Bhagat for his achievement, Patnaik termed him as an icon for youth of the nation. He presented Bhagat with a silver plaque and a cheque of Rs 30.95 lakh.
It is worthwhile to mention that Odisha Government has recently awarded Bhagat with the Biju Patnaik Sports Award for excellence in sports.
