Odisha CM Stresses On ‘Transformation’ In People’s Lives At Collectors’ Workshop

**Bhubaneswar: ** Addressing the valedictory session of three-day-long Collectors’ Workshop on Tuesday aimed at improving citizen centric service delivery through the use of ‘3T-Teamwork, Transparency and Technology’, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also laid stress on the fourth ‘T’ (Transformation) in the lives of the people of Odisha.

“Let us resolve once again to work together towards a strong and vibrant Odisha,” the CM exhorted.

In his keynote address, the CM said, “I’m happy that the Collectors have deliberated at length over the last two days (since inaugural session on Sunday June 11) on the identified initiatives. The discussions were quite fruitful and many innovative suggestions have come up.”

“Taking forward our commitment to People’s Governance a Portal was launched on the first day of the workshop. This portal has already received more than 185 suggestions from the public and I am hopeful that many more suggestions will be received till 30th June, 2017,” he informed.

In his address, the Odisha Chief Minister also stated, “As you all know, my Government has zero tolerance towards corruption in all spheres of public life. In our resolve to fight corruption and to ensure last mile delivery, we have put in place transparent structures and processes in functioning of the Government.”

Patting and perking up the District Collectors, the CM further said, “I am aware that some Collectors are doing outstanding work and I get feedback about all of you. Take bold decisions. Any bold decision taken for people centric governance will have my full support.”

The CM also informed that 13 brilliant suggestions have come up during the last two days.

“The groups will continue to function for the next 6 months as resource groups on the identified topics. I will be reviewing in 3 months the progress made and the changes brought about in the identified sectors,” the Odisha Chief Minister averred.
