Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed his gratitude to the people of Odisha for the cooperation of one and all for the smooth conduct of Rath Yatra this year.
Amid COVID-19 restrictions, this is the second year when Rath Yatra was held sans devotees. It is a matter of happiness that the Rath Yatra was smooth and incident-free, he said.
“These are difficult times, and amid such situation, it is only due to the blessings of the Mahaprabhu’s mercy and blessings, such a grand festival was conducted smoothly,” the Chief Minister said.
The manner in which the Servitors devoted and surrendered themselves to the service of the Lord, deserves highest praise, the CM said.
Naveen thanked Jagannath Temple administration, Puri police, district administration, fire service, Puri Municipality, and all other stakeholders for ensuring an incident-free Rath Yatra.
The Information and Public Relations Department worked magnificently to ensure that the Rath Yatra reaches everyone through television and the Internet.
Most importantly, the cooperation of the inhabitants of Puri deserves an applause, and is second to none, the Chief Minister added.
