Odisha CM To Award Doctors, Healthcare Personnel For Exemplary Service Under 5T

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in accordance with the implementation of 5T charter and Mo Sarkar initiative has announced various awards for doctors and other healthcare personnel with exemplary service record.

Besides, public health facilities under the State Government having good track record will also be rewarded by the Chief Minister.

Sources from the Chief Minister’s office informed that, 10 doctors and other healthcare personnel will be awarded in a State-level function for their good work. While doctors will be awarded with Rs 10 lakh each, other healthcare personnel will receive Rs 5 lakh each.

The awardees will be selected by a committee constituting of eminent personalities from the field of healthcare.

Patnaik has also announced a Career Award for those who have completed at least 25 years of permanent service in the healthcare sector. Not only will such employees receive award for their noteworthy work but will also be promoted on the day of their retirement.

Similarly, all staff starting from doctor to security guard of National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certified public health facilities will get one month salary as bonus in next financial year.

Besides, staff of public health facilities who have received Kayakalp award and of LaQshya Certified Labour Rooms and Maternity Operation Theatres will get half month salary as bonus in next financial year.

Based on the feedback of people visiting government hospitals, the medical officers of top five public health facilities will be presented with quarterly appreciation letter.

Further, while permanent employees with good annual service record will get a chance to go abroad on Leave Travel Concession (LTC), contractual employees will be sent abroad for training. Besides, team with good success rate in pregnancy-related surgeries will receive monetary reward as per the rules of the Health Department.
