Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, is likely to go on a foreign trip almost after a decade. He will be visiting Rome and UAE by the end of June to attend several events.
During his visit to Rome, he may call on Pope Francis, the Bishop of Rome and hence Head of Catholic Church. He is also to take part in an investor’s meeting. He will also attend an investor’s meeting in Dubai and address a meeting of some Non-resident Odias living there.
This would be Naveen’s second foreign trip during his 22 years as Chief Minister of Odisha. He had to cut short his first visit to the United Kingdom in May 2012 following an alleged coup by then Rajya Sabha member Pyarimohan Mohapatra.
