Odisha CM Mohan Majhi To Resume Public Grievance Hearings From July 1

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi ordered the resumption of public grievance hearings across all the departments beginning July 1.

As per the CM’s order, the resumption of public grievance hearings applies to all departments of the government, Heads of Departments, and Joint Hearings of Public Grievances held by Collectors and Superintendents of Police in their respective districts. All grievances received in the hearing must be registered on the Jana Sunani portal for record.

The resumption of public grievance hearings aims to enhance administrative transparency, said sources.

General Administration and Public Grievance Department issued letters to all concerned authorities in this regard on Wednesday.

“Hearing of Monday Public Grievances in all departments of government, Heads of Departments and Joint Hearing of Public Grievances held by Collectors and Superintendents of Police in their respective districts has to be resumed w.e.f from 01.07.2024 on the orders of the Chief Minister,” read the letter read adding that “All grievances received in the hearing must be registered on the Jana Sunani portal for the record”.
