Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik released two books–‘Sesha Chithi’ and ‘Bhagbata Kathamruta’ written by Baisnab Prasad Mohanty at the Naveen Niwas here today.
Patnaik congratulated Mohanty for his literary works and advised him to continue with his endeavour in the coming days, said an official press release issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
‘Sesha Chithi’, is a collection of short stories. The stories in this collection are a true reflection of the socio-economic and cultural condition of coastal Odisha half a century back. The 23 short stories published in the collection take back the reader to a time period that is lost. The preface of the book has been penned by eminent litterateur Ramachandra Behera.
Similarly, ‘Bhagabata Kathamruta’ is a spiritual book. Forty-four spiritual texts based on different issues of Bhagabata have found a place in this. Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal has given his opinion in this book. These two books have been published by Apurba Prakashan of Bhubaneswar.
Mohanty was the former Director of Information & Public Relations department and had served as CM’s PRO for a long period of time.
