Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today unveiled a user-friendly web portal for the Working Journalists Swasthya Bima Yojana, aiming to provide convenient access to the scheme.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of journalists raising awareness in society. He also assured the State Government’s full support to journalists.
Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Minister Pradip Kumar Amat, I&PR Department Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh, I& PR Director Saroj Kumar Samal, and other officials attended the ceremony.
I&PR Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh provided a detailed explanation of the portal’s usefulness and functionality.
Surendranath Parida, Technical Director of I&PR Department, expressed gratitude in his vote of thanks.
The programme was attended by District Information and Public Relations Officers from all districts of the state on the virtual mode.
Earlier, the State Government had introduced the ‘Gopabandhu Sambadika Swasthya Bima Yojana,’ a health insurance scheme that covers the medical expenses of working journalists and their eligible family members.
