Cuttack: With a steep rise in cases in Cuttack district and especially in the silver city, the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) refrained people from visiting the office for the next 15 days.
Briefing the media persons, CMC Commissioner Ananya Das said people usually visit the office for the purpose of payment of holding tax, certification of Trade License, issuing of Marriage/ birth/ death certificates, public grievance among other services. All of these services are available online and she urged Cuttack denizens to opt for the same.
Das added that the community is under watch since there is a constant flow of people via trains and flights. In this matter, the ward community plays a very important role to keep everything in track.
Of the 561 new cases detected in Odisha in the last 24 hours, 81 are from Cuttack district. There have been 702 cases detected in the district so far, out of which only 206 are active. Four COVID-19 patients from Cuttack have succumbed, as of Friday afternoon.
