Odisha Collectors Alerted As IMD Issues Yellow Warning For Next 5 Days

Bhubaneswar: The Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) on Monday issued an advisory to all Collectors as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow warning for the next five days.

As per the IMD, intense rainfall and thunderstorm activity are likely to occur over the districts of Odisha on February 24 and 25. It will be followed by dense fog at isolated places till February 29.

The Collectors have been advised to monitor the situation closely and take appropriate steps to face any eventuality. Movement of vehicles on highways should be regulated with the help of police during dense fog to prevent any road accident.

It has further been advised that any incident of disaster or damage should be reported to the State Emergency Operation Center immediately for information of the Government.
