**Bhubaneswar/Puri:** Close on the heels of Bharat Bandh that left several commuters in the State stranded yesterday, private bus services between heritage city Puri and smart city Bhubaneswar have been suspended adding to the woes of the common man.
Reportedly, after a dispute over timings of buses plying between the two cities, Bhubaneswar Bus Owners’ Association decided to detain the buses of Puri Bus Owners’ Association at Baramunda Bus Stand.
Meanwhile, passengers suffered severe inconvenience as commotion was spotted in Bhubaneswar-Puri DTS buses (city buses).
In the blame game, Bhubaneswar Bus Owners’ Association secretary Barada Prasanna Acharya has accused the Puri bus owners of detaining their buses and harassing their employees, while secretary of Puri Bus Association Lokanath Pani has also leveled similar allegations on capital city’s bus association.
“A meeting had been called for decision of rational timings but Bhubaneswar bus owners did not cooperate with us. Now, only when the State Transport Association and the police intervenes there can be peaceful plying of the buses,” said secretary of Puri Bus Association.
