Odisha: Crime And Corruption Will Not Be Tolerated, Says BJD

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal today reiterated its stand on former legislator Anup Sai who has been booked on murder charges and arrested by Chhattisgarh police.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik upholds a strict policy of zero tolerance towards crime and corruption. In this case, his action has spoken for his policy of zero tolerance in such matters, said BJD Spokesperson, Lelin Mohanty.

“The moment there was a possibility of Anup Sai’s link to the crime surfaced, the Chief Minister acted and removed him from the party and the post of Odisha State Warehousing Corporation Chairman,” said Mohanty.

There is no one beyond the law. Anyone, irrespective of the position he or she holds, will face action, he added.
