Odisha Cyclone Relief: Adani Ports Contributes Rs 25 Cr, ICICI Bank Offers Rs 10 Cr

Bhubaneswar: As Odisha faces a mighty challenge to revive from the devastation caused by cyclone Fani, private companies, NGOs, leading personalities from various fields and common citizens have come forward with generous contributions for the State.

Today, Adani Ports and SEZ donated Rs 25 crore into Odisha Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) while ICICI Bank contributed Rs 10 crore to the CMRF towards cyclone relief, rehabilitation and restoration purposes.

Similarly, Bank of India contributed Rs 25 lakh to the CMRF. They have also decided to distribute relief in the affected districts.

The employees of a private company, ‘Equipage Infracore Pvt Ltd’ donated a day’s salary amounting to Rs 83,000 towards cyclone relief.

Adani Ports CEO Karan Adani, ICICI Bank’s Retail Business Head, Siddharth Mishra, Bank of India Regional Manager YN Dwivedi and Managing Director of Equipage Infracore, Sanjib Nayak, handed over the donations to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat today.

Naveen expressed gratitude to these organisations and all others who have extended a hand of assistance towards Odisha in this time of need.
